Updated on January 12, 2015

Diana Ross

The first love of Michael Jackson was Diana Ross. They met when Michael was only 9 years old.Their relationship grew, and Michael fell in love with her, even if there was a 14 years age gap between them.

There relationship remained very close over the years, so close that Michael appointed Diana as a possible guardian of his children in his will.

Tatum O'Neal

In the documentary "Living with Michael Jackson", Michael talks about his relationship with Tatum O'Neal, whom he met when he was 17 and she was 5 years younger.

Later Tatum O'Neal described how she met Michael, in her book-"A Paper Life":

I met him at the On the Rox, the club Lou Adler & Jack Nicholson opened upstairs from the Roxy on the Sunset Strip. Michael was around 17 at the time, about 5 years older than me, & he seemed very sheltered & fearful & lonely--not at all what you'd expect a world-renowned performer to be. As I recall, he didn't even know how to drive a car.(...) I absolutely adored Michael--as a friend--& I admire him to this day. I believe that he fell in love w/ me. I'm told that he wrote the song "She's Out of My Life" on his album Off the Wall for me. What an honor.

Brooke Shields

When he was 25 years old, Michael met Brooke Shields.Their relationships lasted one year, from 1983 to 1984, but they remained good friends after that.

Brooke insisted that their relationship was purely platonic,

Tatiana and Michael had a short relationship during the filming of the video "The way you make me feel". She was also the first woman who kissed Michael in public, leading the rumors that the two had a fling. She was soon fired after that, and replaced with another model.

Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa and Michael wed in May 1994, and divorced 20 months later, in January 2006.

In her Myspace blog, Lisa Marie describes their relationship:

Our relationship was not "a sham" as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a "Normal life" found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.

I wanted to "save him" I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened.

She also shares her thoughts about his death:

Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general. (...)

At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did."

I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.

14 years later   I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears.

Debbie Rowe

Debbie was the second wife of Michael Jackson. She was the nurse in the dermatologist office were Michael was undegoing his vitiligo treatment. They were married in 1996, and had two children:Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. and Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson.Debbie and Michael divorced in 1999. In the divorce settlement, Debbie received 8 million dollars, a house, in exchange to renouncing the rights on their children.

During marriage, they didn't live as a couple, Debbie got pregnant after being artificially inseminated. There are rumors that the children are not  Michael's biological children, and not even Debbie's, suggesting that she only carried and delivered them.
